I’m first and foremost “Mom” to three amazing kids, our fifth generation on the farm. They keep me grounded, busy, and constantly learning new things about life, patience, and joy. Whether I’m cheering them on at the county fair, answering their endless questions, or sharing bedtime stories and prayers  after a long day, being their mom is my favorite role.

Agriculture has always been one of my greatest passions my entire life. Today, alongside my husband Jared, I help run our family’s cattle and crop farm in northern Iowa. Farming is more than a job—it’s a way of life that connects our family to the land and the animals we care for. Every decision we make, from feed to field, is with our family, community, and the next generation in mind.

I’m passionate about helping students and adults understand where their food comes from. Through my work with Ag in the Classroom and my program There’s a Farmer in My Classroom, I bring agriculture into schools, blending real farm experiences with interactive lessons. I believe that when people see the “why” behind farming, they gain respect, trust, and a deeper connection to agriculture.

I speak to audiences ranging from classrooms to conference halls, sharing real-life stories from the farm and breaking down common misconceptions about food and farming. I also work with farmers and ag professionals, inspiring creative and impactful ways to share our world of agriculture with the public.
